1. How fees are quoted and charged

We agree a fixed fee in writing before work begins. Any government, registry, registered-agent or bank charges are set by third parties and are shown separately.

2. What is refundable

Our legal fee is refundable in proportion to the work not yet performed when you cancel. Government, registry and other third-party fees that have already been paid to those bodies are generally not refundable, because we cannot recover them.

3. Cancelling before work begins

If you cancel after approving the quote but before we have started, we refund the fee paid, less any third-party charges already incurred on your instruction.

4. Cancelling after work begins

If you cancel after work has started, we invoice for the work completed to that point and refund the balance of the legal fee, if any.

5. Staged-fee matters

For multi-stage matters, fees are staged against milestones. Each stage is earned as its milestone is reached.

6. How to request a cancellation or refund

Write to info@maalouflawfirm.com with your name and matter. We reply within 24 hours and confirm the position in writing.
